Create
a floor plan of your new home for furniture and appliance placement.
Make
an inventory of your household goods and begin to remove clutter
(start with the basement, attic, garage, and other storage
areas). Perhaps now is a good time for that garage sale you have
always wanted to throw.
Arrange
to transfer school records.
Get
your new home ready - Contact painters, carpenters, plumbers,
roofers etc., so your home is ready when you arrive. Remember to
change the locks on all the doors in your new home.
If
you're moving to another state you typically have 30 days to
transfer your vehicle registration.

Setup your utilities:

Electric Service
Phone Service
Your
going to need to find a local dentist, doctor, and other health
providers. Be sure to obtain all your medical records and ask for a
refferal.
Schedule
to have your utilities turned off. You don't want to be paying for
days you're not in your home.
